The Public Health Agency of Canada reported on Friday that the total number of confirmed swine flu cases in the country has risen to 2,115, with three confirmed fatalities. Since Wednesday, 320 new cases have been reported and about half of them came from Ontario.
Ontario appears to be the hardest hit province in Canada. It has reported 184 new cases since Wednesday pushing its total number to 1,078. This is the highest total for any province in the country.
Quebec has the second highest number of cases at 437 while Saskatchewan has the third largest number at 179.
To date, there is a total of 96 hospitalizations and three reported deaths among laboratory-confirmed cases in the country.
